Iceman. If Cougar doesn't quit, Maverick isn't even IN Top Gun.
this question is an insult to US Flying school advanced fighter pilots everywhere. ICEMAN
Clearly Maverick for a host of obvious reasons:
1. Maverick would have won Top Gun if he didn't leave.
2. Maverick SAVES Ice Man at the end of the movie by taking on most of the Soviet Air Force.
3. Jamie cannot count to 20 without taking off his shoes.
4. Maverick is a better singer.
5. Maverick was able to bail out Cougar in the opening scene and save his life & plane. Ice Man would have let his "comrade" die.
So easy: Maverick b/c he has Goose.
